The door slides back and the mountain closes around you. Stone at your shoulder, warm light ahead, the lakes still at your back. This is a real room in the hill, not a cabin in costume.
Inside there is a wide bed, a deep sofa and space to spread out. A kitchen sits in the alcove and a bathroom through the arch, so you self cater without the small print. Beyond the glass the trout lakes and twenty acres of forest wait for morning.
